Driving Directions

  1. Exit Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and follow signs to Minnesota Drive North.

  2. Continue onto AK-1 / Glenn Highway East toward Palmer / Glennallen.

  3. Stay on the Glenn Highway for approximately 40 miles, enjoying views of the Chugach Mountains and the Knik River Valley.

  4. Take the Palmer / Trunk Road exit.

  5. Follow your GPS to:
    1180 N Tina Lane, Palmer, AK 99645

Along the Way

If you're arriving during daylight, consider stopping for:

  • 🛒 Fred Meyer or Carrs for groceries

  • ☕ A coffee stop in Eagle River or Palmer

  • 📸 Pullouts along the Glenn Highway for incredible mountain views

Before You Arrive

  • ✔️ Download offline Google Maps if you'll be traveling late at night.

  • ✔️ Cell service is generally excellent for the entire drive.

  • ✔️ Wildlife—including moose—are common, especially around dawn and dusk. Drive attentively.

Almost There

As you approach Palmer, you'll begin to see the towering Talkeetna Mountains rising ahead. The final few minutes take you through a quiet neighborhood before you arrive at StoryHaus. Note that our house is at the end of a neighborhood road. You’ll see a basketball hoop at the end …and we are on the left hand side with the numbers 1180 on the Birch tree out front.
