    At StoryHaus, fall glows with cranberry meadows and golden foliage. Leaves drift past the great window like golden snowfall while candlelight and firelight warm the celebration inside.

    Under soaring lit trees or candlelight, weddings and holiday gatherings become the kind of celebration families remember for years. You didn’t know you wanted a wedding that becomes a holiday—until now.

  • DAWN - MidWinter + Spring

    As winter begins to lift, StoryHaus welcomes spring with crisp white décor, willow buds, fresh greenery, and candlelight. Fur, fire, and soft light echo the season as weddings celebrate the return of longer days.

  • ABUNDANCE - Summer

    In summer, StoryHaus opens wide to the season—doors and windows thrown open, including the rolling glass door that connects the house to the meadow beyond. Your celebration can move effortlessly from an elegant gathering indoors to a relaxed outdoor barbecue or ceremony in the meadow itself, surrounded by long Alaska daylight.

  • AWE - Destination Ceremony + Story Haus Reception

    Beginning in 2027, couples may pair their StoryHaus stay with destination ceremonies in remarkable places—Hatcher Pass or a quiet mountain lake—while our team prepares a beautiful Plan B at StoryHaus if the weather shifts.

    The time leading up includes shared meals, light preparation, and unhurried time together.

    The Celebration Day becomes the center point—fully supported in timing, food, and flow.

    Afterward, one final night allows for a relaxed morning before departure.

    A three-day celebration feels complete without feeling rushed.

  • Guests arrive three evenings before the Celebration Day, allowing time to fully settle into the space.

    Additional days create room for excursions, rehearsal gatherings, shared meals, or rest.

    By the time the celebration arrives, everyone is grounded and present.

    Afterward, a full additional day allows the group to ease out of the experience with a whole day to enjoy time together before a slow departure, Monday.

  • For those who want to turn their wedding into a larger Alaska experience, StoryHaus becomes your home base.

    Guests can explore nearby trails, mountain drives, and day trips—or plan larger experiences like fishing, wildlife excursions, or guided outings.

    Gather, celebrate, explore—and return each evening to the rhythm of the house.

    Extended stays can be added as additional days beyond the five-day celebration, or in full seven-day increments for a more immersive experience.

Rather than a few scheduled hours, the day is cared for from morning through evening so couples and their families can relax into the rhythm of the gathering.

  • Beginning about six months before your celebration, our team helps guide the details so the weekend feels effortless when it arrives.

    Planning support includes:

    • Wedding coordination beginning six months prior
    • Invitation selection and ordering support
    • Marriage license and paperwork guidance
    • Vendor coordination and scheduling
    • Sound, music, and lighting logistics
    • Timeline design for ceremony and reception flow
    • Simple MC guidance for the celebration

    In the week leading up to the wedding, we work alongside vendors and our hosting team to quietly bring the details together so you can focus on the people gathered around you.

  • StoryHaus was designed to feel warm, layered, and quietly beautiful — a place where gatherings feel natural rather than staged.

    To support this, the HAUS includes a curated collection of décor and celebration pieces that couples are welcome to incorporate into their wedding design. These pieces live on site and are available to help shape the atmosphere of the day without the need to source every detail from outside vendors.

    Our collection includes items such as:

    • candle collections and soft lighting elements
    • ceremony accents and display pieces
    • table décor and styling pieces
    • serving displays for grazing tables and desserts
    • simple floral vessels and centerpiece elements

    Couples may choose to incorporate these pieces as they wish, and our team will style and place the selected elements during the Great Hall transformation, helping bring the vision of the celebration to life.

    For couples who wish to go further, simple fresh floral arrangements can be prepared through StoryHaus, or we can coordinate with one of our preferred floral vendors for a more elaborate design.

  • At StoryHaus, hosting happens in two ways — caring for the stay and caring for the celebration itself.

    During your time on the estate, couples may choose the level of food support that best fits their gathering. Some groups prefer to keep the home as a sanctuary, preparing meals together or exploring local restaurants. Others choose one of our provisioned pantry options, where breakfast basics, lunches, and simple meals are thoughtfully stocked and ready. For couples who want a fully hosted experience, chef-supported meals can also be arranged through our preferred vendors.

    On the wedding day itself, hospitality is cared for from morning through evening. Lodgers begin the day with a hearty continental breakfast, followed by a light lunch of salads and sandwiches while the StoryHaus team quietly prepares the Great Hall for the celebration.

    For weddings of 25 guests or fewer, StoryHaus provides a beautifully styled grazing table reception and dessert display as part of the package. Couples planning a larger feast may work with one of our preferred caterers for buffet or seated dining.

    As the evening winds down, the Great Room is discreetly returned to its living room setting, with light snacks available for fireside conversation or a relaxed movie night with close friends and family.

    The celebration is a fixed base investment, designed to carry your day from the months leading up through the final evening.
    From there, the experience can be expanded with additional elements based on your preferences.

    This includes planning, coordination, and a fully supported event:

    – Wedding planning and coordination (~6 months)
    – Invitation selection and design guidance
    – Day-of coordination and full hosting team

    – Limited journalistic-style photography coverage
    – MC, sound, and lighting support

    – Food throughout your celebration day for up to 25 guests:
      • Continental breakfast and light lunch
      • A fully styled grazing table and dessert display
      • Late-night snacks as the house settles back into its evening rhythm

      For larger gatherings or expanded experiences:
      • Catering for up to 50 guests
      • Buffet-style or seated meal options
      • Beer, wine, and hosted drink service

    Lodging is added based on the length of your stay and the season you choose, with rates structured similarly to a private stay.
    (Average nightly buyout is approximately $1,590, depending on season.)

    Most couples choose:

    – 3-day stays (minimum)
    – 5-day weekends (most common)
    – Optional extended stays of 7+ days

    With space for up to 25 guests, StoryHaus becomes a place for shared meals, slow mornings, and time together surrounding your celebration.

    Additional options for your stay may include:

    – Provisioned meals
    – Private chef experiences
    – Support planning your time together, including guided excursions and Alaska itineraries

    Many families choose to extend their stay—creating space for excursions, rest days, and time to explore Alaska together.
