We invite you to reimagine if you need to wait till summer, or if something more valuable (like time, little work, connection with your family, spectacle that you choose but don’t have to work for) were your reality. We intentionally start our celebration packages at 3 days, expand to a restful 5 days, then add on for a more family vacation home base style. Our goal is to engeneer something for you that only comes through time in a special space with the people you love, in the most spectacular state in alaska. Though this time and intention is an investment, other places that aim for achieving time and the absolute luxury of not having to figure out all the details would be an investment of such magnitude that it’s out of reach for most people. Story Haus is designed to hold and serve normal people who want what matters most. Time focused on connection, beauty that you didn’t have to kill yourself for, little luxuries like feather duvets or really nice furniture. we frame this as a middle of the road luxury that is house based, beautiful and creative…but absolutely accessible. start a conversation and we can see if this works for you
From Story Haus you can choose to adventure with spectacular scenic hikes/walks . take day or overnight excursions to the most iconic views in ALaska (yes we are that centrally located) or take overnight trips to enjoy activities like halibut fishing. When everyone says fare well… those who enjoy fishing can head off to the hunting or fishing trip of a life time.

Starting months out, we engage with the decision makers about all the details we know may come into play as we prepare for the celebration. Things like invitations, official documents, decor and design plans, and very importantly… how the family wants to host food for the week and the celebration. Storyhaus staff’s goal is to make sure every detail is thought through and runsheeted out so there are very few unknowns as the big day approaches.
On our founding year, our team will use our years of hosting big events and spectacles to inform us on how to carry your big day. For couples who wish to go further, simple fresh floral arrangements can be prepared through StoryHaus, or we can coordinate with one of our preferred floral vendors for a more elaborate design.

At StoryHaus, hosting happens in two ways — caring for the stay and caring for the celebration itself.
During your time on the estate, couples may choose the level of food support that best fits their gathering. Some groups prefer to keep the home as a sanctuary, preparing meals together or exploring local restaurants. Others choose one of our provisioned pantry options, where breakfast basics, lunches, and simple meals are thoughtfully stocked and ready. For couples who want a fully hosted experience, chef-supported meals can also be arranged through our preferred vendors.
On the wedding day itself, hospitality is cared for from morning through evening. Lodgers begin the day with a hearty continental breakfast, followed by a light lunch of salads and sandwiches while the StoryHaus team quietly prepares the Great Hall for the celebration.
For weddings of 25 guests or fewer, StoryHaus provides a beautifully styled grazing table reception and dessert display as part of the package. Couples planning a larger feast may work with one of our preferred caterers for buffet or seated dining.
As the evening winds down, the Great Room is discreetly returned to its living room setting, with light snacks available for fireside conversation or a relaxed movie night with close friends and family.
